Who's never heard of a selkie?

That would be me. I only discovered a few days ago, when I came across a new release from one of my fellow shifter authors. Being the nerd I am, I immediately hit Wikipedia to investigate.

So, it turns out that a selkie is a mythological creature found in Scottish, Irish, and Faroese folklore. Selkies are said to live as seals in the sea but shed their skin to become human on land. Pretty cool, huh?
